Carvacrol is a monoterpenoid phenol isolated from Thymus mongolicus Ronn., with antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anticancer properties. Carvacrol causes cell cycle arrest in G0/G1, downregulates Notch-1, and Jagged-1, and induces apoptosis.
