Maculosin is a quorum-sensing molecule involved in cell-cell communication by Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Maculosin also acts as a signaling molecule regulating virulence gene expression in Lactobacillus reuteri. Maculosin shows antioxidant, anti-cancer and non-toxicity properties.
