The transverse aortic constriction (TAC) model is the preeminent surgical platform for inducing pressure overload‑induced left ventricular (LV) hypertrophy and subsequent heart failure (HF) in rodents. TAC model imposes a fixed, afterload‑dependent hemodynamic burden that closely recapitulates the clinical progression of hypertensive heart disease and aortic stenosis.
