Estrogen-Induced Vaginal Epithelium Psoriasis-Like Model Development Services

The estrogen-induced vaginal epithelium psoriasis-like model has emerged as a tool for studying the mechanisms underlying psoriasis and evaluating potential anti-psoriasis therapeutic interventions. Ace Therapeutics specializes in the development and validation of estrogen-induced vaginal epithelium psoriasis-like models to meet the needs of preclinical psoriasis research and therapeutic evaluation.

Introduction to Estrogen-Induced Vaginal Epithelium Psoriasis-Like Models

Under estrogen stimulation, the vaginal epithelium of female mice exhibits active proliferation and altered keratinization, which parallel the pathological progression of psoriasis. Specifically, estrogens induce keratinization through keratins Krt6a and Krt10, which are also implicated in psoriatic skin lesions.

Estrogen-Induced Vaginal Epithelium Psoriasis-Like Model Development Services

Animal Preparation

At Ace Therapeutics, we offer female Kunming (KM) or C57BL/6 mice, considering key parameters such as strain, age, body weight, and hormonal baseline to meet experimental requirements.

Psoriasis Mouse Model Development

  • We offer customized estrogen induction protocols as part of our psoriasis mouse model development services. Two commonly used induction approaches include:
    Induction Approaches Description
Intraperitoneal (IP) injection Diethylstilbestrol (DES) is administered via IP injection over several consecutive days to induce epithelial proliferation and keratinization. Histological changes include increased cellularity and stratified squamous differentiation in the vaginal epithelium.
Oral gavage Estradiol benzoate (EB) is delivered to mice through oral gavage for consecutive days. This approach mimics physiological estrogen levels, leading to enhanced vaginal epithelial stratification and cornification.
  • Our experts perform IP injection of colchicine before the experimental endpoint to arrest cell division. We then rapidly dissect vaginal tissue to prevent tissue damage and contamination.

Estrogen-Induced Vaginal Epithelium Psoriasis-Like Model Validation Services

At Ace Therapeutics, we use hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining and immunohistochemistry (IHC) to validate the success of estrogen-induced vaginal epithelium psoriasis-like models.

  • We use H&E staining to assess key pathological features indicative of successful model induction, with a focus on evaluating mitotic activity in vaginal epithelial cells. Additional hallmarks such as acanthosis, parakeratosis, and inflammatory cell infiltration are also examined to confirm psoriatic-like changes.
  • We use immunohistochemistry to detect proliferation markers such as proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA), enabling quantification of keratinocyte proliferation within the vaginal epithelium. Elevated PCNA expression serves as a marker of increased epithelial turnover, characteristic of psoriatic pathology.

Anti-Psoriasis Drug Efficacy Evaluation Services at Ace Therapeutics

At Ace Therapeutics, we provide comprehensive drug efficacy evaluation services using estrogen-induced vaginal epithelium psoriasis-like models. Drugs can be administered via oral gavage, intraperitoneal (IP) injection, or vaginal delivery, depending on the study design.

We evaluate drug efficacy through a combination of histopathological and immunological assessments. H&E staining is used to examine epithelial structure and quantify mitotic activity, while immunohistochemistry detects proliferation markers such as PCNA and Ki67. T lymphocyte infiltration and other inflammation-related indicators can also be assessed to provide a comprehensive understanding of therapeutic effects on psoriatic hyperplasia and immune activation.

Ace Therapeutics is dedicated to providing psoriasis model development and validation services, ensuring that our clients have access to reliable tools for studying psoriasis and evaluating novel therapeutics.
