The rat tail collagen I provided by Ace Therapeutics is prepared according to the Birkedal-Hansen method through acetic acid extraction, sodium chloride precipitation, and disodium hydrogen phosphate precipitation. This product is derived from a rat tail, dissolved in 0.02M HAc solution, and the purity is greater than 90% as determined by SDS-PAGE, and it is sterile.

Collagen Type V is found in the placenta, amniotic membrane, and cornea. Human Collagen Type V from Ace Therapeutics is a purified collagen from adult human placenta tissue. This product can be used as a coating on tissue culture surfaces to study the effects of collagen on cell behavior.
