Rat Collagen Type I (Atelocollagen) from Ace Therapeutics is purified from the rat tail tendon. Type I collagen is found in connective tissues and is the major component of tensile strength of the extracellular matrix (ECM). The product is widely used as a thin layer on tissue-culture surfaces to enhance the attachment and proliferation of a variety of cells including endothelial cells, fibroblasts, hepatocytes, epithelial cells, etc. In addition, the product can self-assemble into a 3-D supramolecular gel in vitro as an ideal biological scaffold.

Bovine Collagen I from Ace Therapeutics is a purified stromal extracellular matrix protein from fetal bovine extensor tendons and is pepsin-treated to remove telopeptides. This product promotes cell adhesion for cell and tissue culture.

Collagens Type IV is derived from bovine tissue treated with pepsin. This product does not gel and needs to be mixed with collagen type I-A.
