Description

SM-21 is a potent and selective sigma(2) antagonist. SM-21 is a tropane analogue with high affinity and selectivity for sigma(2) receptor subtype. SM 21 attenuates the convulsive and locomotor stimulatory effects of cocaine in mice. (+/-)-SM 21 may be a suitable lead compound for developing sigma2-selective ligands.
